Dr. Sam A. Kasimba has a broad working experience ranging from internationalization in higher education, research and development in the education sector, NGOs, SDGs, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Circular Economy, to music management and promotion. In addition, he is a professional DJ and social activist. He works as a higher executive officer and Adviser on research and development activities at the international office at Queen Maud University (QMUC) in Trondheim, Norway. He is a former board chair and currently a sitting board member of Trondheim International Music Festival (Transform).Sam has a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Development Studies and a PhD in Human Geography, from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). He has researched on the synergy of mobile banking service (M-Pesa) and livelihoods in the urban and peri-urban areas of Kisumu, Kenya. His recent research has focused on governance, sustainable development and CSR in the mining sector in Ghana and published peer reviewed articles on these.
